Introducing The Next Generation Of Leaders And Thinkers

Be Yourself

*I’m going to first start by saying that if you want to compliment someone’s body (in a respectful way, of course) then go for it. However, you should never ask someone about their actual weight or how they got to it. This is because you never know what state of mind a person is in, and whether or not they feel comfortable discussing that aspect of themselves.*

Here is the part where we get body positive.

I am currently at the highest weight that I’ve been at in my entire life and I’m totally okay with it.

I believe that everyone should love their bodies, no matter what you look like. It’s what makes you, you, and that’s a beautiful thing.

But I also know that people can say “LOVE YOUR BODY” until they’re blue in the face, and yet, you’re still unhappy. So here are some HEALTHY ways to get yourself to a place that you’re happier with.

  • Throw away your scale. Literally put it in the trash. Numbers mean nothing and will only lead to you obsession over them.

Working out.

  • Working out is good. You should do it to strengthen your body, and get those great endorphin released, but you should know that working out for six hours a day isn’t healthy. I’ve been to several different dietitians and a physical therapist and they’ve all said that getting yourself to a healthy weight is 20% exercise and 80% what you eat.

  • GOOD NEWS YOU CAN STILL HAVE CANDY AND ICE CREAM SUNDAES AND MCDONALDS WOO! As long as you do it in moderation.

  • Everyone say it with me: EVERYTHING IN MODERATION!

  • Want a candy bar? Go for it. Just don’t do it every day and don’t have 12 at a time.

  • Want fast food? Don’t we all. But keep it down to a few times every month (maybe once every other week)

  • Water is your friend. It flushes out bad things and fills you up when you’re craving sweets and hydrates you which gives you both energy and it makes your skin/hair look super pretty

  • THREE MEALS A DAY AND YES A SNACK IS A GOOD THING. Breakfast wakes your body up and gets your metabolism going. Lunch keeps it going strong. Snacks: still moving that metabolism. Guess what dinner does? Metabolism stuff.

  • Eat delicious, healthy food. Fruits, vegetables, proteins, etc.

Honestly, I could probably go on with healthy health tips I’ve picked up over the years.

Be confident! It looks amazing on you.
