Is Hillary Clinton Anti-Feminist?

It’s no secret that former president Bill Clinton has a history of multiple sexual assault/misconduct cases between the years of 1978 and 1993. The first woman out of the five who stated that they had sexual encounters with Bill was Paula Jones. She filed a sexual harassment lawsuit against Bill in 1994, three years after the incident of Clinton exposing himself to Jones. The case was dismissed because Jones did not suffer any damages, which nowadays, isn’t a good enough excuse to get out of a serious allegation like this. Jones bravely appealed the dismissal. Four years later, Clinton agreed to an out-of-court settlement and paid Jones and her attorneys a total of $850,000. To this day, Clinton denies of any kind of sexual assault occasions with Jones.

In 1998, a 22 year old White House intern and later employee Monica Lewinsky admitted to a sexual relationship with 49 year old Bill Clinton between 1995 and 1997. This inappropriate relationship was indeed consensual, but it lead her to decline any job offers so she could continue her relationship with Clinton. Out of the nine recorded occurrences, Clinton’s wife, also known as Presidential Candidate Hillary Clinton was in the White House during seven. Lewinsky informed her friend Linda Tripp about the relationship, and Tripp took action. She recorded her conversations with Lewinsky about her and the president, and exposed their relationship. Clinton denied everything in January of 1998. With time, he owned up to his lie that August, admitting of their relationship.

An American model and actress Gennifer Flowers came forward with her twelve year relationship will Clinton in 1992. She recorded her phone calls with Clinton knowing that he wouldn’t admit to their affair. The President had no choice but to admit his wrongdoings, but stated that it only happened only in 1977. She continued to use their past to keep her relevance and gain fame by continuously discussing and writing about it. Clinton also wrote about it in his autobiography, “My Life.”

A former White House volunteer aide Kathleen Willey accused Clinton of touching her inappropriately and forcing her hand onto him. Clinton denied, and the Clinton White House released information on 15 letters and 12 phone calls between the two. Willey apparently sounded eager for Clinton’s attention. The Court was skeptical to believe that Willey was actually assaulted, since she lied to the FBI in the past. Linda Tripp, who exposed Clinton about his involvement with Lewinsky, stated that Willey is an “honest person who was telling the truth.”

Former nursing home administrator Juanita Broaddrick, accused Bill Clinton of raping her in 1979. Clinton suggested talking to Broaddrick in her room about plans to renovate a prison visible from her window if he became governor. She stated that Clinton abruptly kissed her, and she quickly pulled away, making it clear that she was happily married and not interested. Clinton continued to move forward, by pushing her on her bed even though she kept telling him to stop. The media soon found out about this and wanted to hear her statement. She was very hesitant to talk because she believed Clinton had too much power. It took her twenty years to finally file a lawsuit against him.

Going back to Hillary, she had to have at least known about one of the five affairs/assaults according to Juanita Broaddrick. A few weeks after she was raped, she attended a small Clinton fundraiser where Mrs. Clinton approached her and said, “I just want you to know how much Bill and I appreciate what you do for him. Do you understand? Everything that you do.” Broaddrick knew that implied that she was being thanked for keeping quiet.

To sway young, female voters, Hillary starting discussing topics on sexism  and was called out on it by Donald Trump, stating, “If Hillary thinks she can unleash her husband, with his terrible record of women abuse, while playing the women’s card on me, she’s wrong.”  Clinton spent years defending her husband, often victim-blaming and insulting the women that released the truth about her husband. Does she still in believe her actions in the past, or will she acknowledge her anti-feminist behavior and apologize?
