As I sat in the comfort of my own home last night surfing through countless television channels, I decided to stay on one very interesting show. The premise of the show seemed to be that all the dimwitted citizens of the United States of America gathered to one place to discuss their ridiculously absurd ideas. Assuming it was a comedy, I laughed the entire way through! Later, though, I found out that the show was actually just the Republican National Convention. Now, I am utterly terrified by the statements that were said. Thus I give you the four most absurd things said from day one of the Republican National Convention.

1.  Rudy Giuliani called Donald Trump a “good man”

Hah. Seriously? He can’t be serious, right? After all the slander Mr. Donald Trump has thrown around, after he express mass racism and xenophobia, after he plans to profit off the lower class, you want us to believe that Trump is truly a “good man”? No thanks.

2.  Steve King made an argument for white supremacy

The ultimate eye-roll provoker. He literally said that no “subgroup” has done more for the progression of civilization than white people. Oh heeeeeeeeell no. Sure, white people have done some good things, but we would be nowhere without the contributions of people of color, so don’t even start.

3.  Antonio Sabato Jr. said Obama is “absolutely” a Muslim

As I write this, I’m still scratching at my brain trying to find the relevancy of this comment, but I just can’t find it. Whether Obama is a Muslim or not shouldn’t matter, but the fact that this washed up actor feels the need to point it out as if it’s a negative thing just showcases how the Republican party plans to demonize Islam.

4.  Melania Trump stated Donald Trump “intends to represent all the people”

How can Donald Trump represent all people when he only plans to give benefits to white dudes like myself? How is he supposed to represent Muslims when he plans to ban them from entering the United States? How is he supposed to represent immigrants when he plans to literally build a wall separating them from us? Oh wait, he isn’t.
All in all, the first day of the Republican National Convention was… well… comical. It’s always enjoyable to see thousands of white US citizens gather together and discuss the most offensive and absurd ideals ever! I can only imagine what the next days will bring…
