Just yesterday, Kylie Jenner announced she will be adding eyeshadows to her cosmetics brand, Kylie Cosmetics. She revealed on snapchat and twitter that The Bronze Palette will be leading the four palettes she has already designed since it is the most special one to her. However, the palette will be worth $42 (minus shipping). Despite the already pricey cost, it is practically impossible to get your hands on a Kylie Cosmetics product when it is first released. Moreover, Jenner has been problematic several times in the past. So, hold onto your money makeup lovers, and go for these high quality, cruelty free, and affordable dupes instead!
1. NYX Hot Singles Eyeshadows ($4.50 each)
These eyeshadows are super in quality, variety, and price! They are pigmented and blend easily on your lid, and a small stroke goes a long way. They come in different finishes too so you can mix and match it how you prefer. Also, buying nine of these gems will still cost less than Kylie’s palette.
2. Colourpop Shadows and Pigments ($5.00 each)
Besides being affordable, these shadows are a cult favourite, and they can be yours now since Colourpop finally ships worldwide. They can still be used when broken due to their amazing creamy formula. They compare to many high-end brands such as Stila, except they are a fraction of the price and sometimes they do an even better job. Since they are also singles, you don’t have to be tied down to getting a palette that has a few colours you don’t like.
3. Morphe Colour Nature Glow Eyeshadow Palette ($22.99 + use code Nikkie for discount)
Not only do you get all colours in Kylie’s palette, but you get 29 more. Morphe has only offered quality products to its costumers and this palette does not fall short. Also, thanks to beauty guru Nikkie De Jager, you get it at a discounted price.
4. Lorac’s Skinny Eyeshadow Palette In Nude ($15)
This palette is silky and pigmented, and at a great price considering the usual price tags of Lorac Cosmetics. Despite it’s cost, it still meets their standard high quality. The sooner you get your hands on the palette, the better, since it’s limited edition.
5. Shaaanxo – 18 Color Eyeshadow & Lipstick Palette ($22)
I know what you’re thinking. Even Shannon, the palette creator, tweeted about how similar her palette is to Kylie’s. Not only are they similar, but it’s half the price for almost as good of the quality. These shadows last for a while and they can make very creative eye looks. Moreover, a bonus is that the palette comes with 9 lipsticks on the opposite sides, so you are paying the $22 for bold eyes and luscious lips.
I’m sure there are many more dupes for Kylie’s Bronze Palette, however, these are the best I could find. I hope these helped you and motivated you to support these cruelty-free brands. Even if these don’t suit you, make sure you do more research before handing Kylie a huge sum of money, for a simple eyeshadow palette, that you can invest elsewhere.
