The Winners and Losers of the Debate

Although only two of many candidates appeared on the debate stage Monday night, there is certainly more than just one loser. In fact, there are millions of losers, starting with BOTH Clinton and Trump, taking jabs at each other and fighting over who was right and who was wrong instead of actually debating, to minorities who have nothing to gain and so much to lose from a Clinton or Trump presidency.

If there were any winners, it was most likely Green Party presidential candidate Dr. Jill Stein and her supporters, who protested for open debates and true democracy, instead of taking part in an event that reinforces debate exclusion and praises corrupt committees like the DNC and RNC. On Monday before and during the debates, protesters sat outside of Hofsta University and fought for debate inclusion. Some protesters, unfortunately, were arrested for simply exercising their right to protest. They exposed the fraud and corruption in the debates and in the RNC and DNC.

When we’re talking about winners and losers in the debate, it is important to note that the winner/loser is not just one person, but a whole group of people. In this debate, however, there were no winners, only losers. This is simply because of the fact that the two candidates on stage Monday were horrible – the two most unfavorable candidates ever. The losers were minorities. The people that will lose so much regardless of a Hillary or Trump presidency. The ones that are, unfortunately, used and not even taken care of in and out of the elections.
