Introducing The Next Generation Of Leaders And Thinkers

George DeNoto: Living His Dream Through Laughter And Success

To those who actively watch his daily videos on twitter, George DeNoto is known for his many historic feats; from getting kicked out of Chuck-E-Cheese, to having a resemblance to Ned from the classic tv show Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide. Since George, who goes by the name NoHoesGeorge on twitter, started posting his comedy on twitter, he has gained a whopping 228.9k followers on twitter.

His videos range from various skits with themes such as ‘Tips To Survive a Clown Encounter’, and various Pokémon/anime skits, to more vlog style videos of him explaining bizarre moments in his life (i.e. getting kicked out of Chuck E. Cheese). Whether it’s his playfully zany skits or his hilarious vlogs, George’s charisma and humor has captured the attention of hundreds of thousands in just two years. Although we do not agree with many of his videos like this, we can’t deny that as a teen he has forged a successful career in producing videos.

So, where exactly did the inspiration to become an internet comedian come from?

“It was kind of spontaneous to be honest, I was never that great at school, so I knew I was going to have to try be successful somewhere else. Before I knew it, I made that Straight Outta Compton video and here I am!” Being successful at school is more common than not a huge expectation for teenagers, which often leads to unhealthy amounts of stress. When George had that realization that good grades don’t determine how successful you become, his world was flipped on his axis, and all it took was some inspiration from various outlets to keep him motivated.

“I’m always looking for inspiration, whether it’s anime, music, or just art in general. One comedian that’s inspired me the most is Pete Davidson, simply because he’s very good at being himself. So when I was able to hit the dougie with him on stage, it was a dream come true.” Hitting the dougie with Pete Davidson? Where can I sign up?

Becoming a viral internet star at the mere age of seventeen seems like a bizarre experience for anyone, and George certainly didn’t deny the surreal feeling, despite the fact that life was suddenly moving at a very fast speed. “It’s the craziest thing to me, I’m weird if you can’t tell by my Naruto outfits and Marvel Avenger glasses, I never really stopped in a moment to think ‘Wow, this feels great.’.

I’m always trying to plan two steps ahead and I’m always trying to outdo myself; so when the next video goes viral I’m already thinking about what’s next.

But there was one moment where I truly felt accomplished, and it was when I was featured on Logic’s new mixtape. That man has been my idol since the eighth grade so now to be a part of his time is surreal.” So if you wanted any more evidence that George DeNoto is a one of a kind, super cool human being, there you have it.

Being a successful content creator comes with a lot of responsibility, which can easily become overwhelming. It becomes even more stressful when the number of viewers is growing at a constant rate. “I think that’s the most stressful part, when people don’t always get that these videos take time, so when you post a video and you already have comments like ‘that was so funny man, when’s the next video?’ it can get kind of stressful. But, it doesn’t affect me too much because I don’t make these videos for attention or money. I’m just trying to make people happy, so as long as I’m making people laugh, those laughs will inspire me to want to create more. My mom used to tell me how a smile goes a long way, but it wasn’t until now that I really figured out how true that was.”

This genuine response allowed me to see why he was quickly taking over twitter. I had always liked his videos, and experiencing his humble personality firsthand was the icing on the cake. Thankfully, people in George’s hometown haven’t tried to take advantage of his humble demeanor. “I didn’t have girls then (before his internet explosion) and I still don’t now, give me a couple of years and I’ll get back to you on that!” Same George, same.

So what exactly was his method of madness to becoming viral? “This is where I’m different from most people, they try to make their content as relatable as possible so that it will gain. So now you have all these people wearing Supreme with the Jordans to match, and everyone’s gotta listen to ASAP, Uzi, and Yachty. Don’t get me wrong, there’s nothing wrong with that, but in my videos I always try to be myself. And that’s why you see me yelling into a camera, dancing like a sixty year old grandpa, and running around in public in Naruto outfits. I think people saw that I wasn’t trying to be like anyone else, and that’s what gave me the connection I have with my supporters.” There’s no denying that George’s videos are unlike anything anyone’s ever made, which is why they are so entertaining to watch. So the question is, how do you keep the creativity flowing?

“I feel like now my content is so much different than it used to be, because now there will be days where I try to be as creative as possible and that leads to these crazy skits that no one has ever seen before. But my videos challenge me to be more creative every time.”

Just like any viral internet entertainer, George’s outlook changed when he became viral. “Yes, making these videos did change my life, I used to be a seventh grade little boy and thought I was a bad kid and a black sheep because I got bad grades in school. My supporters and the smiles I put on people’s faces showed me that hey, it doesn’t matter what grades you get in school, it’s about who you are as a person.”

When asked if the craze of the 206 elections inspired any of his posts, he replied “I don’t know too much about politics, I’ll just stick to my anime.” Good call, George. Some of his favorite animes include Naruto, My Hero Academia, Yuyu Hakusho, Hunter X Hunter, and Nisekoi.

So, is NoHoesGeorge going to continue a path in the entertainment industry?

“Yes definitely! I haven’t figured out exactly what I want to do in entertainment yet but my homie RyOutDaSideLine once told me ‘The canvas is endless I just have to figure out what I want to paint’. ” Sounds perfect to us, George!

“I just want my supporters to be able to look at themselves in the mirror and be happy with themselves. Being happy with yourself is the most important thing.”
