Introducing The Next Generation Of Leaders And Thinkers

Why We Should All Be Stanning Ezra Miller

Every day, we are becoming fans of more people, and sometimes we want to find people to “stan” (find people to like with a passion). Heck, they even say they will “sell their souls to the devil” because they stan someone so much. Don’t worry though. I’ll introduce you to this whole fad, and I’ll tell you about one person you should start stanning: Ezra Miller. Ezra is a singer, a musician, an actor, a person that is a part of the LGBT+ community, and an all-around good person. Let me tell you a little about him.

When I was first introduced to him, I saw him in Batman vs. Superman in a movie theater. He had a small cameo as his role as The Flash, and I thought he was really cool and really cute. Aside from my opinions, I went home after the movie and looked him up on Google. I found a lot of stuff interesting about him, like how he identified as queer and how he had a band, but I didn’t immediately really start to like him.

Then December 2016 came around, and I had an awakening. I went to the movies saw Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them where he starred as Credence Barebone, and I fell in love with the character. The way Ezra portrayed that character was amazing. And then I got home and looked him up for the second time, and I thought, “This man is amazing and I’m ashamed that I don’t already stan him.”

This article isn’t about me though. This article is about why we all need to like Ezra, even if it’s a just a little. This man is a genuinely good person. His views on many things are agreeable, and you can tell he cares a lot about humanity and society. In one interview, he stated that he wanted to “destroy patriarchy” because he doesn’t believe in male supremacy. Also, Ezra thinks that appropriating Native American culture is offensive and bad, and he’s right.

In my opinion, I think one of his best movies is The Perks of Being a Wallflower. In the movie, he plays a gay character named Patrick. This all-around feel-good movie is simply about coming-of-age. The way Ezra plays is character is so incredible.

Ezra takes important stances on a lot of issues, and he’s such a wonderful person. He’s not only super kind, but he’s also really funny and super woke as a 24 year old while many 24 year olds are still figuring life out. Take some time to learn more about him and hopefully you’ll choose to like him just as I do. He’s a wonderful actor, he can sing beautifully, he can play the piano and drums — he is clearly talented. A great way to start 2017 is to stan Ezra Miller.

“I feel like a sickness and dystrophy is growing in people, like people are growing sicker, something about our society, something about our psychological structures. We’re not whole.” – Ezra Miller
