It’s no secret that paparazzi have been known to harass celebrities and in some cases be the cause of their mental and physical breakdowns. But on Thursday, John Legend and Chrissy Teigen were greeted by a new type of paparazzi: racist paparazzi.
As expected, Chrissy Teigen took to twitter and put the entire situation on blast. Teigen said that the paparazzi ask questions like “what’s an easy recipe to make at home” to “if a Jew were a vampire, would he still be afraid of crosses?” Needless to say, Mrs. Legend was not here for the anti-Semitic and racist statements at all.

The racist photographer was even brave enough to ask whether or not Mr. and Mrs. Legend evolved from monkeys.

The paparazzi apparently caught Chrissy off-guard as he began with polite cooking questions that she kindly answered, but then began to hurl racially charged statements

However, Chrissy stayed above the classlessness of the paparazzi and decided to keep her cool because if she were to have frankly responded like the majority would “They live for that photo and lawsuit.”

Is it a coincidence that this situation happened the same week of Donald Trump’s inauguration? The incident is undeniably indicative of the future of America to come and the recent normalization of hate. Every day people are getting more and more bold and nonchalant with their hate speech and racially charged attacks. It’s sad to say that this is only the beginning.
