Introducing The Next Generation Of Leaders And Thinkers

5 People Who The Democrats Should Turn To In 2020

Now that Donald Trump is the 45th President of the United States, democrats should start considering potential candidates, for President who can certainly win over the American people in 2020. Whoever that candidate may be, must be ready to take on President Trump and have a good connection with the voters. Here are the top 5 candidates who should run for President and who the Democrat Party should really be looking at ahead these next three years.

5. Cory Booker

Cory Booker, the New Jersey senator and former Newark Major, has shown a deal of leadership among his party and knows how to get a crowd off their feet. During the 2016 Presidential Election, he had campaigned for and with Hillary Clinton and Booker had an energetic vibe that got people up and going. Booker is a supporter of abortion rights, healthcare, and equality.

4. Nancy Pelosi

Nancy Pelosi made history in 2009 when she became the first woman to hold the position of House Speaker. She held onto that position until 2012, when the republicans gained control of the house and John Boehner became Speaker of the  House. Since 2012, she been the House Minority leader and leading her democratic party ever since. Currently, Pelosi and other democrats are fighting for Obamacare and are trying to persuade the republicans, who control the house, not to repeal Obamacare. Pelosi has been involved with politics for awhile now, at the age of 76, she is in good health and continues to fight for what’s right and I have no doubt that she will be in good health in three years if she decides to run for president.

3. Tim Kaine

Tim Kaine, the Virginia Senator has severed many positions in his life, he has been a major, governor, lieutenant governor, and chairman of the DNC. With all those experiences, he became a perfect vice president pick for Hillary Clinton during the election. Kaine is also fluent in Spanish, which he learned on a trip in Venezuela, from building schools for kids. Kaine and Clinton lost the 2016 Presidential Election, but both won the popular vote, so now Kaine is definitely, a qualified candidate for the 2020 Presidential Election.

2. Elizabeth Warren

Elizabeth Warren, the progressive Senator of Massachusetts, is a not a fan of Wall Street and is against big money and big banks. Warren is a big advocate for wealthy people paying their fair share in taxes, just like Senator Sanders and she dislikes money from Wall Street being involved in politics or influence politics. Senator Warren currently has been in hearings, questioning President Trump’s nominees for his administration and whether they are fit and have what it takes for holding the positions are have been nominated for. Warren is a strong progressive fighter who never gives up and is not afraid to speak her mind.

1. Michelle Obama

Michelle Obama made history in 2008, along side with her husband former President Obama for being the first African American First Lady of the United States. Mrs. Obama is a remarkable woman and has been one of the most finest first ladies in our history, she has represented democracy, class, achievement, and the willingness to never give up. Mrs. Obama has shown young girls, no matter the skin color of their skin that each one of them can live up to their dreams and can break down each and every barrier that may come across them in the future. With a powerful voice, Michelle has made her speeches very persuasive, encouraging, and hopeful . When speaking, she speaks from the heart or from her personal past, which can be emotional at times. Michelle Obama being a African American woman, who lived in the White House for eight years, has given her a platform to speak about equality, women rights and the rights of the minorities. Mrs. Obama is widely loved among democrats, republicans, and most importantly the American people, she knows her politics and with her stance on equality, she would make a fine 46th President of the United States.
