A List of Companies You Probably Didn’t Know Support Trump

Not even a month into the Trump presidency, and millions have sparked protest all around the country. One protest in particular, doesn’t involve signs, petitions or marches but an economic boycott. A website called grabyourwallet.org released a detailed list of businesses that feed into Trump’s prosperity. Although the full list is far more detailed, these are some companies that might catch you by surprise in their support for Trump.

Uber

Uber CEO Travis Kalanick openly expressed his position as a member of Trump’s Economic and Policy advisory forum in an email‬ to his employees. Also on this forum are, “Elon Musk (CEO of Tesla), Mary Barra (Chairwoman/CEO of General Motors), Indra Nooyi (Chairwoman/CEO of Pepsi), Ginni Rometty (Chairwoman/CEO of IBM), Bob Iger (Chairman/CEO of Disney), Jack Welch (former Chairman of GE) and a dozen other business leaders.” In regards of the Muslim ban, in the email expressed a priory’s in handeling the situation and speaking out on these issues.

In stark contrast, it’s rival Lyft, pledged to donate $1 million to the American Civil Liberties Union over the course of the next four years, in  response to Trump’s actions.

Amazon

Well known for their success in online shopping, Amazon openly feeds into the pockets of Trump. Amazon carries lines from Ivanka and Donald Trump with products range from shoes, clothing and accessories. As regards to the Muslim ban Amazon has recommended all employees from countries that have been involved in the Muslim ban, to not travel outside the country.

Macy’s

Last year Macy’s CEO, Terry Lundgren, made the decision to discontinue the Donald Trump Men’s line, after Trump called immigrants “killers” and “rapists.” However they still continue to support Ivanka Trump, as they sell products including jewelry, clothing and handbags.

Bed Bath & Beyond

Bed Bath & Beyond sells a line of Ivanka Trump diaper bags, an homage to the Soho neighborhood in New York.

Jet

This online store, under Wal-Mart Incorporated often does business with both Ivanka and Donald Trump. Jet also sells a variety of shoes and fragrance from both Ivanka and Donald Trump.

The list goes on and on, ranging from names Facebook to Sears and Kmart. What’s most important, especially in these next four years is to stay informed and educated on these issues. When we start to lose sight of what’s important and the proper information we completely enable Trump and give him the power he needs.

So go out there and protest. Boycott these companies and spread the word. Tell your sister, your brother, your mom, or whoever.  Because without proper information, you could be blindly feeding into the pockets of a man who raises no benefits for anyone in this country.
