A black woman will break records tonight! Beyonce could win three of the big four awards tonight — the ones she can win include record of the year, album of the year, and song of the year.
These awards will be all from her album Lemonade. This is a big deal because Lemonade celebrated the black experience. So for Beyonce to be honored for this album would be a really big win for Black History Month. As a black woman, Beyonce has faced much more scrutiny than her white counterparts. From people like Piers Morgan constantly attacking her to racist trolls coming after her, Beyonce has seen a lot of backlash as a black woman. She has worked twice as much as her white counterparts, so I would love to see Beyonce take all the wins tonight… not just for her, but for Black History Month.
