In a continuation of the downward spiral that is Trump’s presidency, longtime Republican and CEO of Hardee’s and Carl’s Jr., Andy Puzder, has withdrawn from consideration for Secretary of Labor following concerns he would not get enough Republican support to be confirmed.
Best known for profiting off obesity and low employee wages, Puzder also came under fire for admittedly hiring an undocumented maid and consequently not paying taxes on her services, both concepts hated by the Republican Party. Add to that allegations of domestic violence and and you have the most vile, anti-labor potential Labor Secretary ever imaginable.
This has been a tough week for the Trump administration, following national security advisor Michael Flynn’s resignation, evidence of constant communications between Trump team aides and Russian intelligence officials and a Trump Twitter Meltdown ™ denying everything.
