Introducing The Next Generation Of Leaders And Thinkers

It’s Only February, Don’t Rip Your Resolutions List Yet

Ha, I know, I feel it too. It’s only been a month and a half through the year of 2017 and yet everything look like in a total chaos. Starting this year, as usual the majority of us make an annual resolutions, filled with promises, dreams, hopes, the I-will-get-my-sh*t-together-this-year kind of stuff and so so. You probably did all those thing that you’ve written down at the end of the previous (The-year-which-must-not-be-remembered a.k.a 2016) year or the second after the clock stroke twelve in the midnight announcing that we’ve survived that hellish year and we must prepare ourselves to the next one, 2017, in the early weeks of January.

A lot of things happened lately, bunch of weird, disastrous events, starts from the inauguration of Donald Trump until the assassination of Kim Jong-Un’s older paternal half-brother, Kim Jong-Nam in Malaysia. Yeah, I bet school’s activities and works drain you out too. Here are some tips to survive (at least these early months) 2017 and actually achieved those things you wrote on your ‘2017’s Resolutions’.

  1. Eat and Sleep properly. Starving yourself is not a good thing to do so does skipping your meal, even though you got a mountain of works you have to prioritize your health first! skipping meals could actually make you feel sick because the lack of carbo, nutritions and such things that keep you alive while getting a proper good-night sleep will make you energized later in the morning, don’t stay up late because you’re still growing up although you may think that you’ve got enough energy stocked in your body but no, you need a proper sleep to be able to function properly.
  2. Put yourself first. Might sound a bit selfish but it’s the truth, you gotta put yourself first before the other’s, because darling everything you did will get back to you, prioritize yourself.
  3. Make a list of short-term goals. An advice from the old man. By setting a list of short-term goals it will be easier for you to achieve them, start to list the goals that you want to get in the short period of time like for example, getting the perfect score for the next week’s math quiz , so you know that you’re going to study hard in order to achieve that goal.
  4. Make a schedule for your daily activities. Why? because by having a schedule makes you know what are you going to do or to simply avoid clashes between works or events.
  5. Fight for it. If you want to achieve something you have to fight for it, do your best (but don’t tired yourself out, know your limit), dedicate your life for it, don’t just sit around wishing it would magically happen, no, life does not work that way, do it! If you wanna get fit, then exercise, if you wanna get good scores in your mid-exam, go study instead of cheating!
  6. Save your money. You will never know what’s going to happen next in your life, you might lost your wallet or get scammed or the others, it’s better for you to actually saves some of your money for the Just-in-case happens.
  7. Do things that makes you happy. Your happiness is the one that matters the most in your life. Pick up a new hobby, hang out with your squad, eat ice cream, traveling with your best friend, or just simply watch your favorite tv series all day long.

Have fun, enjoy your life, I hope you survived this one.
