Porn isn’t a right, it’s a privilege. People steal porn at a rampant rate, and when you steal porn, you have no idea where it comes from. Feminism includes all kinds of sex workers, and if your feminism doesn’t include all kinds of sex workers, you’re a really bad feminist. If you can’t afford to tip, you can’t afford the product that they’re offering. They don’t owe you entertainment for free. However, supporting small studios, and performers, means that you can pick and choose who you support. You know that the money is going to them. You can look through their history of clips, and if there are offensive clips, or clips you’re not comfortable with, you can support someone else.
When you’re downloading clips and videos illegally, you don’t know if those are actual performers, or if someone uploaded revenge porn without someone consent, and know you’re watching someone’s homemade sex tape they never wanted anyone else to see. You don’t know if you’re watching someone be sexually abused, or harassed. You’ve got no idea.
When you support the creators of porn, right from the source, you know what you’re getting. You can screen the product yourself, and you’re comfortable in what you’re supporting. You know everyone is of age, and you’re not watching anything with people that aren’t yet of age.
