The one thing that I think we have all gotten used to is the fact that Donald Trump will always find a way to make any scenario that happens about him. At Sunday’s award show, La La Land was mistakenly announced as winner for best picture only to find out that Moonlight was the actual winner. Due to this, not surprisingly at all, Donald Trump has managed to make this mixup about him.
After this mishap took place, everyone was left wondering as to why and how such a mixup could happen but Donald Trump seems to think that he has the answer by blaming it on himself. This situation happened, according to Trump, because Hollywood was too busy mocking him instead of paying attention to the finer details of the awards show.
In an interview with Breibart following the awards show, trump decided to take credit for the Oscars’ Moonlight mixup by saying that it was due to the producers focusing too much on politics.
“I think they were focused so hard on politics that they didn’t get the act together at the end,” President Trump told Breitbart. “It was a little sad. It took away from the glamour of the Oscars. It didn’t feel like a very glamorous evening. I’ve been to the Oscars. There was something very special missing, and then to end that way was sad.”
Although we aren’t surprised that Trump decided to make commentary about the Oscars in some way, it is surprising that he had nothing to say about the show’s host Jimmy Kimmel, who was making fun of Trump all through out the show.
“This broadcast is being watched live by millions of Americans and around the world in more than 225 countries that now hate us,” he said.
Kimmel also joked that Trump would tweet about all of the speeches done at the Oscars ‘in all caps during his 5 a.m. bowel movement tomorrow.’
