2017 has begun to see a rise in new artists, many whom have just started off their career and others who have recently emerged again. Here is a list of 4 new up-and-coming and reemerging artist to watch in 2017. Their music will defiantly be on the radio non-stop this year.

4. Julia Michaels

 Julia Michaels, 23, is an American singer/songwriter from Santa Clarita, California. Recently she has come out with her latest single, Issues, from her highly anticipated upcoming album set to be released this Spring. Her sound is often described as pop-rock. She says her music is influenced by artists such as Fiona Apple, Paramore, and The Fray. Julia Michaels’  single, Issues, is now on available for sale on iTunes.

3. Khalid

According to Genius, Khalid is an up-and-coming R&B artist out of El Paso, Texas, who burst onto the scene after Kylie Jenner featured Location in one of her snaps. His previously released singles, such as Coaster, Saved, and Let’s Go, made it into his debut album, American Teen. His album, Amerian Teen was released March 3, 2017. 2. Grace VanderWaal

Grace VanderWaal is a 12-year-old singer/songwriter from Lenexa, Kansas. She rose to fame after winning season 11 of the popular NBC show, America’s Got Talent. Vanderwaal’s style of music can be characterized as indie-pop. She has been called the “next Taylor Swift” due to her music/songwriting style. Her debut EP Perfectly Imperfect, was released December 2, 2016. Her album is led by her most notable single, I Don’t Know My Name, which she actually performed when auditioning for America’s Got Talent back in 2016. 1. Sarah Close

Sarah Close started off her career through social media, posting covers on her YouTube channel. The 21-year-old singer/songwriter recently released her first single, Call Me Out, from her EP Caught Up, set to drop April 14. In an interview with Clash Magazine, Close recently talked about her latest single saying,  “I wanted to write a really fun song about the process of flirting with someone and that uncertainty of not knowing what will happen,” Sarah explains. “There’s no certainty in anything and that’s a really fun and terrifying time.” Her EP Caught Up is now available for pre-order on iTunes.
