As many have heard, Congress isn’t giving up on their plan to shut down Planned Parenthood by defunding its many health centers. Today, Wednesday, March 29 is the day to fight back. Show your support for Planned Parenthood by wearing pink! Today is the day to resist and to show that we stand with Planned Parenthood. Congress does not have the right to control women’s bodies. Women have the right to health care and to make decisions over their own body, not Congress.
We cannot let Congress get away with their scheme to shut down the most supportive reproductive health care provider in the nation.

It’s very simple. Just wear pink! Take a selfie wearing pink and post it on social media using the hashtags #PinkOut, #PinkOutDay, or #IStandWithPP. Snapchat will be featuring a pink beard filter to support the cause. So take some selfies and share them.

Why is this important?
The majority of Americans support Planned Parenthood, yet the Congress insists in shutting it down. Of course, they do not call it “shutting it down.” Instead, they sugarcoat it by referring to it as “defunding”. The Purpose of Pink Out Day is to send a message to the Republicans in Congress to stop their plot to defund Planned Parenthood. Planned Parenthood is the leading reproductive health care provider in the nation and provides health care for about 2.5 million people a year.
