Why The NFL Still Hasn’t Picked Up Colin Kaepernick

Colin Kaepernick is utilizing his unemployment time for good use, but due to opposing political reasons this the reason why he still hasn’t been picked up by any NFL team. Seems silly, right?

The NFL justifies their idleness towards Kaepernick by accusing him of being a bad player. But it seems more like NFL teams fear the political backlash they will get if they pick up Kaepernick. President Donald Trump himself has expressed his hostility towards Kaepernick, advising him to move out of the country. Here’s how Donald Trump actually proves my point,

“There was an article today, it’s reported, that NFL owners don’t want to pick him up because they don’t want to get a nasty tweet from Donald Trump. Can you believe that?” – President Donald Trump

Yet the NFL still denies the accusation that they aren’t picking Kaepernick up due to political opposition. Politician, Sarah Palin, seconds the alt-right hatred by publishing an article on her website that backlashes Kaepernick’s donation to the Meals on Wheels program. She entitled it, “SERIOUSLY? Colin Kaepernick Just Pulled ANOTHER Political Stunt.” The article not only backlashed Kaepernick’s generous donation, but actually accused the gesture of being a “political stunt”. (The article has been removed from her website). The NFL is starting to represent very alt-right and corporate agendas that we should all boycott, don’t let the diversity of the NFL players fool you.

Just recently, the NFL has gone as far as to say that they won’t pick up Kaepernick because of his vegan diet. Whether you want to believe that the NFL is not signing him due to his “inability to play good”, or because they don’t approve of his political views, you have to admit that this reason is absolutely ridiculous. Reporter for the San Francisco 49ers of the NBC Sports Bay Area, Matt Maiocco, tweeted, “At season’s end, Colin Kaepernick stated he was fully committed to football. But some teams are unconvinced and wonder about his vegan diet.” There is no possible way the NFL can justify this reason, given the fact that Tom Brady, one of the NFL’s greatest QB’s ever, is on a lean diet that has been described as “almost vegan”. (Brady consumes meat only in the winter). I’m just saying, the NFL seems like they are having a pretty rough time trying to cover up the their ugly truth.

Colin Kaepernick collaborated with Jerome Jarre and Ben Stiller to donate 60 tons of food to Somalia via Turkish Airlines. Kaepernick stood up for his oppressed black brothers and sisters when no other football player has done in over 40 years, (last seen with running-back Duane Thomas). He has also donated $50K to both Standing Rock, and $1 million to the BlackLivesMatter organization. Colin Kaepernick has been nothing but charitable and unapologetically vocal about America’s injustices. But to the NFL, he would be better off entertaining than advocating.
