Introducing The Next Generation Of Leaders And Thinkers

Don’t Pretend Like Warhawk Hillary Doesn’t Support These Attacks on Syria

With the U.S.’s long-standing history of imperialism, it was no surprise that another Western leader attacked a country in the global south in the name of a “war on terror”. What many fail to realize in the face of protecting the comforts of white, privileged westerners is how much the victims of American terror suffer as a result.

On April 6, 2017, under the Drumpf administration, America launched 59 tomahawk missiles which hit an airfield near the city of Homs, Syria, which not only hit a Syrian aircraft but also civilian infrastructure such as a railway. In the aftermath of an attack lead by the U.S. in response to an alleged chemical attack which was never confirmed, the Democratic frontrunner for the most recent election, Hillary Clinton, was quick to condone the west-led killings. Clinton, infamous White Feminist extraordinaire, stated during an interview at the

Clinton, infamous white feminist extraordinaire, stated during an interview at the Women in the World summit that airstrikes would help hinder the power of Bashar Al Assad. The airstrike took place only hours after this remark, one that did not target anything that had chemical weapons. A lot of mainstream indie media reveres Clinton as a feminist savior and icon who is a mercenary for the oppressed and simply lost the election due to misogyny, not taking into account how she has never done public work for women of color or any intersectional efforts for marginalized women. This endorsement of an attack speaks a lot about how much Clinton cares for non-white women living in non-western countries. An entire area

An entire area was bombed multiple times, destroying an entire city and possibly leaving Syrians traumatized. This attack that Clinton supports affects Syrian women who not only face global misogyny but also the threat of western imperialism from their location and brown bodies. This is not even the first time that Clinton has spread her wings and ruffled feathers as a seasoned war hawk, like when she recommended for 40,000 more troops as a part of the U.S. military industrial complex to be sent out during the Afghan war or 20,000 troops sent to Iraq. Under the Obama administration in 2013, Clinton also supported force in Syria to push back Assad.

Clinton is a cisgender, heterosexual, able-bodied, rich white women who somehow is placed as the pinnacle of activism in hegemonic circles of western activism, yet she repeatedly displays her bloodthirst and a need for U.S. intervention in foreign affairs that may lead to the peril of Brown and Black women. She does not stand for all women. She does not stand even remotely close to activism. It’s time to stop trying to come up with excuses to try to coddle a woman who advocates for the destruction of foreign lives for white stability in the west and realize all of the harm that comes with her and her policies. Leave your precious Hillary.
