Chrissy Teigen is known for having some of the best clap backs on Twitter and for getting into numerous Twitter fights with Donald Trump’s conservative fighters. Teigen is constantly showing off her comedic, quirky and very sarcastic personality, particularly when she is throwing shade at her Oscar-winning husband John Legend.
Recently, Chrissy Teigen, who is also a model, cook and author, just paid for North Carolina resident, Mercedes Edney to attend aesthetician school through a YouCare fundraiser.
In her story, Edney describes that her goals are to learn more about skin care by attending the Academy of Nail Technology and Aesthetics. In total, the cost of enrolling in said program was $5995, which included tuition, the enrollment fee, her kit and her books. Edney also mentions that financial aid and scholarships were not available to her because she would have had to already been enrolled in school or half way through.
Upon reading some of Edney’s tweets, it is quite evident how much she enjoys skin care and dermatology as she is constantly giving her followers beauty tips and skin care tips.
In an Instagram post, Edney reminded her followers of how much she loved skin care and of her plans to attend aesthetician school. She explains getting an alert on her phone letting her know that there was an added amount of $5605, which she thought was a glitch, only to find out Teigen had been the generous donator. She continues in the post by describing the feelings of shock and joy that she felt as she paid her down payment followed by a thank you to Teigen.

Something absolutely amazing happened last night. Many of you know how much I love skin care and my plans to attend esthetician school next month. Last night I posted my tuition fundraiser on twitter and something I never in my wildest dreams happened. My paypal alert went off, and as I looked at my phone, there was amount of $5605. I thought it was a glitch. I then look at my email and realized it came from my fundraiser. @chrissyteigen donated my entire tuition money for school. I have been crying all night and I cried in the office this morning as I paid my downpayment for esthetician school. I haven't been this happy in a very long time. Thank you Chrissy and thank you to everyone else who voted or rtd my link or have supported me this entire time. It means more to me than you'll ever know. 💜💜 #ixorabb #futureesthetician
In addition to this, Edney also shared her appreciation on Twitter which resulted in a response by Teigen who told the aspiring student she is excited for her to live out her passion.
I'm really excited for you to live out your passion ❤❤❤
