Introducing The Next Generation Of Leaders And Thinkers

Surviving Exams Week(s)

For some of us there’s a week, or maybe two full of exams (or finals or mid-terms, whatever it is) waiting for you to get through it, will you be able to handle them? singlehandedly excel every test? I bet you can do it despite all of the madness going around you like the never ending loop of not understanding any of your subject kind of thing or the stress that evaporates from your friends, or just the stereotypes of this thing (stress, pulling all-nighters, tiredness, et cetera). It does pressure you to your max to get a good, decent score but the point of the exam is to recall every tiny bit of your memory about all of those things you’ve learned in the past couple of months and they were made to test out your comprehension, that’s it, no meanie business.

As a student, this is what you’ve signed up for, you gotta do it. Here are some tips and tricks (I think) to successfully survives this week:

  1. Rewrite your note (or copy your friend’s note) and Review It, I find it easier to understand the material if I rewrite it down in another paper (colored paper for me) and breaks it down, writing down the main ideas, the keywords and stuff.
  2. Read and Understand instead of memorizing. Why? because it’ll be way easier for your to elaborates your point. Read not just from your textbooks, the Internet do help.
  3. Discuss the materials with your friends.
  4. Get some decent sleep. Trust me pulling an all-nighter is not the best decision to make, you’ll drain yourself out and ended up not doing the best with your test. Denying your body sleep is scientifically (and naturally) unhealthy! Please do always keep in your dear mind that reducing a number of sleep hours takes a toll on your body like for simply, it decreases your focus. Instead, pull an all-nighter, take a decent nap in between hours.
  5. Do not be a pessimist. Think positively! I mean, if you managed to survive the past exams, I’m sure you’re gonna do well with this one.
  6. And please for the love of God, don’t cheat (or bring a cheat sheet). The other students worked their ass*s off to get a decent score while you just shamelessly, carelessly, cheat their answers and got a good score? Dude, it’s  real life, you got to work hard to get something that you want.
