This past year, young conservative pundits have made a strong comeback through social media. Radically right-leaning commentators, such as Ben Shapiro and Tomi Lahren, have saturated Facebook and Twitter feeds with their hate-spewing rhetoric. Luckily, there are quite a few millennials who are unafraid to voice their opposition to the far-right’s views on political and social matters.

Hasan Piker, or “Woke Bae,” as his fans affectionately call him, is a host on The Young Turks. In his original video series, “The Breakdown,” Hasan dismantles conservative logic, pointing out the undeniable hypocrisy within it. Most popular in the series are the videos in which he fires back at now Fox News contributor, Tomi Lahren. Hasan’s commentary on contemporary issues is refreshingly authentic because of his conversational tone that helps young people stay up-to-date on politics while avoiding the usual confusion. Amani Al-Khatahtbeh

Amani Al-Khatahtbeh, a Muslim-American of Jordanian and Palestinian descent, founded Muslim Girl, an online magazine for Muslim women that aims to correct the misconception people have of Muslims. Amani first launched her website at the age of 17 when she was feeling frustrated by the lack of Muslim representation that eventually led to the demonization of the Muslim community.
