Meet Jonathan Smith, the Hero Who Saved 30 Las Vegas Shooting Victims

On October 2, 2017, Las Vegas witnessed its’ deadliest mass shooting’ when 64 year old Stephen Paddock fired during the Route 91 Harvest Music Festival; attended by 22,000 country fans. Stephen had “never shown violent tendencies” according to his brother Eric Padlock and despite the fact that during a press conference Monday morning FBI special agent Aaron Rouse said investigators  found “no connection with an international terrorist group”, Padlock is a terrorist. He killed himself before police entered his room and police did an extensive search during which they found 19 more weapons.  Paddock bought all of his guns legally and it seems that he made his own machine gun out of others.

Stephen Paddock killed 59 people and injured more than 500 during the attack but people stayed strong and tried to help each other. One of these selfless heroes include Jonathan Smith who risked his life saving others from Paddock’s hateful act of terror.  30 year old Jonathan Smith was shot in the neck while he was saving people and might have to live the bullet for the rest of his life. Smith saved around 30 people last night before being shot. Smith became  the hero that Vegas needed and is someone that we need to be supporting and praising during this horrendous shooting.
