Introducing The Next Generation Of Leaders And Thinkers

Why We Need To Change Our Perspectives To End Violence

If the world were perfect, I wouldn’t have to turn on the news and see people crying, and dying everyday. We wouldn’t view each other as a waste of space, and people wouldn’t see themselves as above others. We would give to people without a complaint, it would just be instinct to help others, but instead we obsess over things like money, and refuse to share, which seems like something we were supposed to learn in preschool. However in preschool, when we didn’t want to share, we’d just pout and maybe shed a few tears, but like us, our actions have grown bigger, and now our selfish ways are ending lives.

We need to learn that no matter what barrier comes between us whether it’s where we live, languages, or religion,  we are all the same. Underneath the flesh we all have, we are the same. We are simply skeletons, but as humans we tend to only look at people’s outward appearances so we see everyone as different. So when we kill people, we don’t see it as killing another human being.

There are truly no “levels” or “classes” in the world, those are things we’ve come up with to separate each other, so some can see themselves as superior to everyone else. These divisions are carved into our brains as we grow up in today’s society.

When you are a baby you don’t see race, religion, or any physical appearance adults might find “unattractive” you simply see people as people. No ones above one another, young ones have hearts open to everyone until they look around and see the violence and the reasoning for it in the world, and soon they’ll adapt to this world.

People see killing and violence as the solution to everything.

Hearing news of people dying is no longer a surprising thing, it’s now just a part of our world.

Violence is not the answer. Ending people’s lives and hurting people will only create more problems. It’s time to stop putting ourselves in these bubbles and thinking the only way to keep our selves floating is to pop everyone else. Let’s lift each other up, because there’s no point in doing anything else.

Violence happens because we see each other as different and we have this urge to make everyone else be the way we are, but imagine if there was only one color. The world would be so dull and lifeless. We need every color to make our world a more beautiful place.
