Introducing The Next Generation Of Leaders And Thinkers

A New Chapter: My Experience With Affinity

I have been writing with Affinity for almost a year now. Starting out, I knew it would only be about a year since I turn 20 in April of this year and can no longer write for them. I am now moving on to another publication. While it was a short time, I feel as if I have learned a lot and I am thankful for this experience.

Starting out, I did not know what it would be like, and I was a little intimidated. There are hundreds of other Affinity writers and I just hoped I would be as good as them. I hoped that I could come up with creative and insightful content.

I feel as if Affinity has helped me live up to the standards I set for myself and it gave me opportunities I would not have otherwise had. I got to express myself and I even got to interview one of my favorite musical artists and write an article about her new music. Without Affinity, I would not have had an outlet to publish that article and I never would have had the opportunity. To this day, that article, among others I have written, mean so much to me.

Overall, Affinity has helped me have an outlet for my creativity. I have gotten to participate in an organization that lets me write and publish my work, something I am really passionate about. One of my articles even got up to about 4,000 views; that is something that I never thought I would achieve before I graduated college.

I have grown a lot as a writer and I am glad that I got to express my thoughts and opinions. I am thankful for having been able to interact with other writers and learn from them. I loved being able to reflect on the world from my point of view.

Thank you to Affinity. It has been a wonderful year and I am proud of all of the works I have published. It was a fantastic opportunity.
