Police are said to be on the scene, controlling the chaos.
This comes just a day before Ariana Grande’s One Love Manchester benefit — a concert to honour and support the victims of the Manchester attack which still has the world reeling. These attacks, occurring with such short intervals, have people wondering — is anywhere safe from terrorism?
This incident also comes approximately two months after a man drove an SUV into a crowd on a sidewalk on Westminster Bridge, killing at least four people.
The bridge has been closed off by police officials and there have been reports of casualties. A witness told BBC that a van drove off the road and struck pedestrians. A BBC reporter who was at the scene at the time of the incident said that there are approximately four severely injured people who are now being treated by paramedics. She later stated that she saw a man with no shirt on being arrested.
Another witness stated that he had heard gunshots a while later and that there were roughly one hundred people on the bridge at the time of the incident. There have also been unconfirmed reports of knife attacks at the scene.
