“He will not divide us.” This mantra is repeated outside the Museum of the Moving Image in New York on a live-stream, and this live-stream was created by Shia LaBeouf today at 9 A.M. It’s open all hours and every day to anyone who wants to inspire hope for the next four years or however long Trump will be in office. Anyone can go the live-stream and repeat the words.
“He Will Not Divide Us.”
This live-stream is so important considering what we will be facing in the upcoming four years. Racism, homophobia, and all forms of bigotry, as well as white supremacy. The official page for the White House has already taken down the pages for civil rights and equal LGBT rights in the workforce from its website and it’s expected for more important issues to soon be removed. This live-stream will serve as somewhere we can go when we’re feeling down from the effects from racist America’s president and his cabinet. If you’re in the New York area and you want to go resist or inspire, go to the Museum of the Moving Image and repeat the phrase that lives in your heart, “He Will Not Divide Us.”
Jaden Smith has been the only celebrity so far to make an appearance, but there has been a slew of regular, everyday people coming every hour to resist. That matters. Not just celebrities, but ordinary people are standing up and protesting too, resisting this corrupt presidency. No matter what happens, no matter what Trump and his cabinet do, HE WILL NOT DIVIDE US.
