This Earth Day it is crucial to remember to be kind to this earth. We get so caught up in technology that at times we forget to appreciate the beautiful nature the earth supplies us with. The smallest things on this planet are truly beautiful and a lot of it goes unnoticed. We must be kind to this earth in order to preserve the beauty it graces us with. There are many simple ways to do so, here are a few tips to get you started:
Always Remember to be Cautious of Your Water Usage
While you’re brushing your teeth, don’t always let the water run, turn off the faucet. A leaky faucet can waste so much water that needs to be preserved!
Reduce Greenhouse Gases As Much As You Can
If you can walk to where you need to be, leave your car at home and walk to your destination. The fewer cars there are on the road, the fewer greenhouse gasses our earth will be polluted with. Taking public transportation, carpooling, and even riding a bike will reduce greenhouse gasses. Every less car on the road matters, every little thing you do to help this earth makes a difference.
Turn Those Lights Off
How many of you turn off a light once you leave the room? Most likely very few, so that’s why it’s important to remember to shut off the lights once you leave the room you were in. There’s really no point of leaving it on. It’s also important to remember to unplug appliances that you’re not using. So much energy and electricity are being wasted without any realization.
Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle
Although it may be annoying and may take an extra five minutes of your times, recycling is so important! You have the power to reduce pollution by recycling. It’s not that hard to put the juice box in the bin it belongs in. According to EPA, recycling “helps sustain the environment for future generations”. A simple deed such as recycling can help the earth out tremendously.
Evidently, there are SO many ways to save this earth, it only takes one second of your time to do so. Turn off those lights, separate your garbage, unplug your appliances, use less water, shop with a reusable bag, drive slower, carpool, take public transportation, walk, ride a bike, don’t litter, recycle, the list goes on and on. Every little thing you do matters!
