Introducing The Next Generation Of Leaders And Thinkers

Lighthouse Inc. — Amplifying The Voices Of Today’s Youth

In light of a plethora of insensitivity towards relevant, pressing social issues, an assemblage of youth and young adults have organized on social media to launch an organization dedicated to combating ignorance and progression of our social settings. The time has come for the younger generations to seize their voices and amplify them. The youth involved believe that if our view for the future of the world is to be made plausible, we must first establish a platform that makes it possible to unite.

Amassing traction through Twitter, Lighthouse Inc. was officially launched on December 31, 2016. Launched by Twitter (@IrenicPoet) and blogging (A. H. Al-Nurudeen) personality A.H. Al-Nurudeen, Lighthouse Inc. was outlined as a non-profit organization “for the youth, by the youth, filled with activists, academics, and associates, dedicated to protecting the civil liberties of young minds” (Al-Nurudeen). Justice and unity are evidently the bedrock of the organization. As bluntly stated by Al-Nurudeen, “Our power comes from unity” (Al-Nurudeen).

Al-Nurudeen introduces the organization’s first idea, called “The Man’ara Initiative“. He continues to describe the origin of “Man’ara,” which is an Arabic word meaning “lighthouse”. This initiative is an effort to provide a platform in which youth across the globe may publicize their personal experiences, ideas, and critiques of society to an audience willing to listen. In a personal interview I conducted with Al-Nurudeen, he emphasized that the organization has room for everyone.”We need everyone and everything. Each uniqueness has its place. So what you do and are good at, that’s what you’ll aim for,” he explained to me.

Introduce yourself & tell me what *you* would like to do, what *you* aim to be the best at, & what *you* believe in achieving.

Those who plan to participate are invited to direct message Al-Nurudeen on Twitter and introduce themselves along with how they would like to contribute. Lighthouse Inc. is still in its early stages, so its progression depends solely on public efforts. Updates will be intermittently posted on Al-Nurudeen’s blog along with his Twitter account. It’s about time that the future leaders of our world organize and form a formidable force in the face of tradition and deeply rooted institutions that do not meet our expectations of equality and representation.
