1. Bernie is pushing for massive wealth redistribution from the top 1% to the middle class and getting rid of loopholes that allow wealthy people to avoid taxes.
2. He intends to keep Wall Street out of his cabinet and wants people who would be focused on rebuilding the middle class of America.
3. He wants a higher minimum wage and favors equal pay for women.
“The decision about abortion must remain a decision of the woman, her family and physician to make, not the government.”
4. Bernie is pro-choice and has voted multiple times against anti-abortion policies. In addition to that he has co-sponsored a bill to ensure access to contraception.
5. He speaks his mind on issues, unlike other candidates who tiptoe around the bush to gain mass appeal.
“Education should be a right, not a privilege. We need a revolution in the way that the United States funds higher education.”
6. He has voted yes on granting $84 million to Black and Hispanic colleges.
7. Bernie has been an anti-segregation advocate since he was a teenager and was the first candidate who spoke out about Sandra Bland and called for a real police reform.
8. He’s against the death penalty and voted yes on alternative sentencing instead of building more prisons.
