Dear Donald Trump: We’re Hurting

The recent uproar of Donald Trump’s leaked tapes denouncing women puts America into a grave concern for its future: a nation lead by a racist, and we shouldn’t forget, a sexist.

The First Lady of America herself addressed the comments made by Trump that degraded women down to the helpless sexual toys of men. The shameful comments about our bodies. The disrespect of our ambitions and intellect. The belief that you can do anything you want to a woman. It is cruel. It’s frightening. And the truth is, it hurts,” she addressed in New Hampshire.

Michelle Obama made it clear her opposition of Donald Trump. With her experience as a woman, she expresses the pain and humiliation women have endured through generations.  She is right: this is no longer a question of politics, but about keeping human decency and preserving the values of basic human etiquette. Donald Trump objectifying women as toys that men can play with strengthens the social stigma that men are dominant over women and that women are impotent under the presence of men.

The whole world has desperately engaged itself in struggles to fight sexism, human trafficking, and rape. What we don’t need is possibly the next president of America demolishing our morality and belittling our progress of fighting against such grave human abuses. Donald Trump shows complete disregard for the past struggles as his piercing words cut through women. Women have the equal decency, the equal rights, and the equal dignity. No man, and surely no president, should take that away from them.
