If you have ever felt worthless in your life, if you have ever felt like you’re not good enough, then this article is for you.
I’m here to say that you’re not alone. I know exactly how it feels to feel like you’re not one bit important.
Too often, we forget that each and every one of is a unique individual, an individual who makes a difference in this world, even if it is the slightest difference. Trust me, I’m guilty of that too.
I have spent years constantly feeling worthless, having the worst kind of self-esteem possible; the worst part of it is how helpless you feel, how you cannot change your mindset. That feeling eats away at you, and before you know it, you will think about every single little mistake you have made in life and you will feel terrible about yourself.
I am finally starting to change. I am finally starting to learn how to love myself and to be optimistic about life. That doesn’t mean that I am good at it 100% of the time. But I’m trying. I am trying and getting a little better at loving myself every single day.
Every time I feel alone and useless, I remind myself of one thing: that I am alive. That I have a life to be thankful for, and that I am a living, breathing human. That in and of itself is such a huge thing, and it is a fact that we all tend to take for granted. Take a moment to remind yourself of the little things, of the good things in and around us that make us who we are.
Remind yourself of all the good things about you. Remind yourself of all that you have accomplished. Do not think about the mistakes you have made, but the lessons you have learned from those mistakes as well as the things you have succeeded in. That’s what matters. Remind yourself that you are loved; that there is at least one person out there (if not so many more) that care about you and their life would not be the same without you.
The next time you feel like you aren’t good enough, read this and remind yourself that you are. Remind yourself that you are an individual who is wonderful and important and that this world would not be the same without you.
