It’s the 21st century and passersby still stare when a hijabi passes by, let alone while she’s running or practicing some kind of sport. That was the main core of Nike’s new advert, ‘Nike Pro Hijab’ sportswear, a veil made of polyester for a more comfortable practice or playing of sports.
To be available in Spring 2018, the Pro Hijab sportswear has a lot of hijabis waiting patiently. It’s said to be practical and comfortable. What does a hijabi need after having to wear itchy clothes for so long? The release of the official advertisement might have been in early celebration of the #InternationalWomensDay which happens to be today, the 8th of March.
Nike tweeted their advertisement for Pro Hijab along with a glimpse on the International Womens Day, with the caption: What will they say about you? Maybe they’ll say you showed them what was possible. #believeinmore

Several middle eastern athletes helped in the creation of this collection, to that, and to all the support, we are grateful.
