Trump Uses London Terror Attack to Push His Racist Agenda

London police report an “improvised explosive device” was detonated on a crowded London Underground train Friday morning, injuring at least 22 people. A timer was found on the device, a sign there was intent of greater damage. Police have begun a manhunt and are asking the public to share any photos or videos they have of the incident at Parsons Green station.

“I had my headphones on, then I felt a kind of vibration, followed by a wave of heat, and I looked down and the whole carriage was in flames,” stated Adam Davis, a 23-year-old student who was in the train car where the device exploded. “I just got up and ran, but the carriage door was jammed with people. Everyone was screaming and trying to get out, people had blood on the everyone was pushing. It was like a stampede.”

Roy Ramm, a  former commander of specialist operations at Scotland Yard, said the police would be undertaking “a comprehensive forensic examination” of the train and bomb remains in order to quickly determine what happened.

President Donald Trump responded to the attack in a series of tweets, saying it was the act of a “loser terrorist.”

Trump continued, stating “Loser terrorists must be dealt with in a much tougher manner. The internet is their main recruitment tool which we must cut off & use better!”

Trump then mentioned the United States travel ban, suggesting it should be “far larger, tougher, and more specific.”

He concluded his Twitter tirade with a criticism of Barack Obama.

British police stated that Trump’s comments are “pure speculation” and “unhelpful.”

This is not the first time Trump has used a terror attack to promote his own racist agenda. After two terror attacks in London in June, Trump tweeted that a travel ban is necessary for an “extra level of safety.”

British Prime Minister Theresa May has said the terror level in the U.K. will remain at “severe” until they have more information.
