On Nov. 5, 2017, many LGBTQ+ Twitter users (myself included) noticed that the hashtags #bisexual and #bisexuality have been blocked from showing any photos and/or videos that dare have that hashtag in the caption.

What does deliberate bisexual erasure look like? Click this hashtag and then see how many pictures come up: #bisexual pic.twitter.com/VEOUhoHiIZ

Immediately there was a huge outcry from the bisexual community, a community that already suffers heavy erasure on a daily basis.
The sad fact is, the LGBTQ+ community as a whole has a lot of cracks, and biphobia and bisexuality erasure is a huge part of that. I’m tired of the same people having to fight the same fight over and over again, and it’s time the rest of the LGBTQ+ community stands up with their bi peers and helps them get the respect they deserve.
Some speculate that Twitter put the filter on blocking #Bisexual and #Bisexuality photo/video tweets to help filter out pornography. That being said, just assuming that all bisexual content is pornography is inexplicably biphobic, intolerant, and negligent.
