Question 1: Do you want to wear a crop top?
A: Yes
B: No
If you answered A: Congratulations! You CAN wear crop tops!
If you answered B: Looks like you lucked out and don’t have to wear a crop top!
It may be hard to believe, but it really is as simple as that. In today’s society, everyone is so obsessed with images on a screen. Pictures of so-called “perfect” bodies that are being paraded around just to make everyone strive for a practically unachievable goal. While 100% of magazine photos are retouched, many ignore this statistic and still develop an infatuation with the “ideal” body.
Thankfully, today’s society is also evolving positively. People are realizing the damage these stereotypes are inflicting and standing up against others who think they have the authority to instruct you on what you can and cannot wear.
Every person is beautiful, and every body is precious; there are no limits or sizes on your thoughts, so don’t let limitations be placed on your body.
Don’t be afraid to show the world what you have to offer because no matter what other people think of you, it doesn’t matter. The only thing that’s important is your own perception of yourself and whether or not you are happy: emotionally, mentally, physically and spiritually. So if wearing crop tops, body con dresses, leotards, nipple stickers or chokers makes you happy, then wear them.
Who cares if the models on TV or on websites don’t look like you? That’s the point. They aren’t you! You are your own person, completely controlled by your own free will and your own desire. Do what you want, do what makes you happy. Life really is as simple as that.
So tomorrow morning, when you’re trying to decide what to wear and you stuff that crop top back into your dresser, stop and realize what you’re doing. You’re denying yourself of the easiest form of pleasure. Now, pull the crop top back out. Pull out whatever article of clothing, piece of jewelry or color of makeup that makes you happy, and go to town. You deserve it.
