The Guide To Making Your Holidays More Heartfelt

The holidays are just around the corner and there are several ways you can make your holiday a bit more jolly, here’s a guide for you:

A Gift Only YOU Can Give:

One of the best parts of celebrating a holiday is that we get the wonderful opportunity of giving and receiving gifts. Although a physical gift is generally what we all approach, there are SO many other gifts you can give. The greatest gift of all is giving someone your time; engage in a conversation with them, listen to their favorite song, watch their favorite movie, read their favorite book, appreciate their passion for what they love, show them that you care! Don’t listen to someone to respond but listen to understand. Give them a shoulder to cry on, be an open ear, it’ll make them happy beyond belief!

Spread a Little Love:

Always remember that there are those who are less fortunate than we are this holiday. Whether it’s someone living in a homeless shelter or someone who is spending their first holiday without a loved one, it’s the time to be kind and considerate. Go out to a homeless shelter in an area near you and show them some love. Bring them a present or two along with a compliment and a smile… Make them feel important because they are important. You never know what someone has been through that they ended up in that situation, the smallest compliment can bring the biggest smile on their face. In addition to going out to a homeless shelter, be a little kinder to EVERYONE you come across. This may the first year someone is celebrating a holiday without someone dear to them, always keep that in mind. If you know anyone who is going through this reach out to them and tell them you love them. Invite them over for the holidays and show them as much support as you possibly can. They need it more than you ever know. It’s nearly impossible to know what someone is going through, be kind to everyone who crosses your path.

A smile can start a chain reaction of love.

Delightful Donations:

The holidays are a time to give so donate, donate, donate!! There are SO many opportunities to donate. You can donate toys to your local children’s hospital, you can donate toys and treats to your local animal shelter, you can donate blankets to your local homeless shelter, the options are endless. Donating is so important, you never know how much it can truly help someone out.

Be a Good Person:

Although this is a guide for the holidays, don’t only take it into consideration for the holidays, take it into consideration EVERY SINGLE DAY! Do everything out of the kindness of your heart. You’ll always have a sufficient amount of love and kindness in your heart. If you appreciate someone, TELL THEM! If you think someone is absolutely entrancing, TELL THEM! There are several ways to make someone’s day and there are several ways to make the world a better place, it’s up to you to do so.
