Viola Davis, who has received much media spotlight for her role in How To Get Away With Murder was nominated for a Golden Globe award tonight. This was her fifth nomination, and her first win. Viola Davis won her first Golden Globe award for her role as supporting actress in ‘Fences’ movie.
Davis has seen major amounts of success in recent years. She won a BET Award for Best Actress in 2012; she won a People’s Choice Award for Favorite Actress in 2015, and she also won an Emmy Award for her Outstanding Lead Performance in the hit show How To Get Away With Murder.
Viola Davis gave an elegantly beautiful acceptance speech in which she thanked co-star Denzel Washington: “I’m a friend and a fan.”
