It has been hard to find articles that talk about the accomplishments of these creative geniuses. The articles that exist mostly focus on their parents, Will and Jada Smith and not their brilliant offsprings. Some like to call these individuals things like; weird, confusing, and even to go as far as to blame their parents and say that they are not raised “properly”. However, Willow and Jaden are a force to reckoned with. They have provided amazing examples of their creative art formats from; making aesthetically pleasing music, acting, designing, and even using their social media platforms to enlighten the generation of today, that seems to understand them more than older generations who are often confused by the mindset of these two. They are also big advocates for human rights. Willow and Jaden seem to be heading in the right direction physically, socially, and intellectually and they are overall “good” kids. Therefore, why do they receive such harsh criticism; especially, from older people?
Many people seem to think that the reason Jaden and Willow are so famous is because of their well-known parents, which may be very correct. Without being sprinkled with the creative genius of Jada and Will Smith, Willow and Jaden would still be innovative and wise way beyond their earthly years, just not as popular or well-known. In my opinion, would be completely fine for the two. One thing that many do not seem to understand is the fashion of the Smith’s, from wearing high-priced outfits from Armani, Prada, etc. only for the outfits to be mix-matched and definitely out of the ordinary, but many seem to criticise them so heavily and forget that they are very wealthy and can afford such attire. Jaden is breaking gender norms by wearing dresses and skirts and setting a positive example for this generation. Jaden said in an interview, “So, you know, in five years when a kid goes to school wearing a skirt, he won’t get beat up and kids won’t get mad at him”. It seems like whatever people think Jaden and Willow do is crazy, it is actually justified to one simple thing, who cares? They are young and are doing amazing things for their age and have accomplished things that many never does. They have also reached a sense of mental awareness that many their age and older never seem to understand. Let’s not forget that Willow is 16 and Jaden, 18.
But, this article is not to talk about the criticism they face, but to acknowledge the greatness that these humans possess and to wake up the minds of many that these teenagers are far beyond their years and are a force to be reckoned with.
Many people agree with the fact that we should stop acknowledging famous people when they don’t actually contribute much to society, but these two have the time and certainly the resources to make a big impact on today and future generations.
Now let’s talk about Willow’s ethereal sunshine of creative genius. One of the more known art forms that both Willow and Jaden share is their musical talents. Willow is more known for her 2010 hit “Whip My Hair” which was done back when she was around the age of 10. But in 2015, Willow took a different artistic approach with her debut EP, “Ardipithecus”. Speaking to The Fader, Willow said, “Ardipithecus Ramidus is the scientific name of the first hominid bones found on earth. I wanted to name my musical compilation after it because, while I was making these songs I was in such a transitional state. Digging deep in the soil of my heart and finding bits and pieces of my ancient self that tell stories, which end up being the lyrics to the songs.” Willow gives such a deep meaning to this which really emphasizes the whole album itself. She is doing more than making music, she is sending positive vibrations… Along with her debut album, Willow releases many of her songs through SoundClound which includes some other new influential artist such as; JABS, Tyler Cole, Téo, and even her big brother, Jaden. Her SoundCloud bio says,

Basically, Willow just wants to spread love and promote positivity and no matter her age or who her parents are, that’s an amazing goal that should always be embraced and supported. On the other hand, her big brother Jaden is more of a rapper, just like his father, the legendary rapper, and actor; among other things, Will Smith. Jaden’s music career started around 2012 with a collaboration with Justin Bieber on “Never Say Never”. And now he is signed to Columbia music label and has released a plethora of songs such as; Fast, Blue Ocean feat. Willow, Fallen, Offering, PCH feat. Willow, Pleiadian Message feat. Téo, etc. Along with music, Jaden started his own fashion/ lifestyle brand called MSFTSrep, and in May 2013 he collaborated with Korean designer, Choi Bum Suk to create a Pop-Up shop. Jaden has a growing acting career from The Karate Kid, After Earth, which he starred with Will Smith, to newly released Netflix show, The Get Down. In recent news, he recently joined with Shia LaBeouf to launch a four- year long anti-Trump art project and live stream.
